Emergency Control SA

The ECSA Fire Rescue Unit provides specialized rescue and rapid intervention teams to respond to fire call outs, grass as well and structural fire incidents, vehicle rescues at major motor vehicle accidents and supporting entities with Missing Persons and/or Search and Rescue Operations providing Aquatic Rescue Response Teams as well as Technical Rescue functions to mention a few. The unit’s members have been activated and have assisted international rescue organizations with search and rescue in disaster zones across the globe.

Emergency Control Services South Africa (ECSA) proudly supports, engage and attend the National South African Police Service School Empowerment Programs. This is where our Youth are educated in the fundamentals of Fire & Rescue including but not limited to safety of their homes and what to do in an Emergency.

Our Services

Who are we?

ECSA is a Non-Profit organization dealing with the response to call-outs concerning Search and Rescue, fire hazards and safety, serious motor vehicle accidents and certain community services all within District 6. We consist of 30+ volunteers helping their fellow humans in their hour of need, our volunteers include Firemen and women, Medically qualified personnel and other assistants all playing various roles on different scenes.

Our teams attend regular training to ensure we give the best possible service to the communities we serve

Fire Fighting

We assist the City of Joburg Fire brigade fighting fires on various scenes where assistance is required

Community Safety

We aim at supporting our local communities by embarking on a certified training program that would assist community members in various areas for basic emergency response

Our team assists during fires, rescues, medical emergencies, community safety incidents, and disaster-related situations. We work alongside emergency services and community partners to provide rapid support where it is needed most.
